Citadel map is a new addition to Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak that has tons of biomes to explore, but there is one peculiarity about this addition. The new Citadel map has a cloud near area 13, which many of you can’t access. However, in this guide, we will tell you two ways to access the secret area.

Access Secret Area 13 Cloud in Citadel

If you follow the path leading to the cloud, you will find a blocked entrance with a couple of roots that you can see through. You will see a bone pile on the other side. You can’t use your bomb to clear this path, so the question remains how do you access this secret area? You actually need to go a different route to get to this location.

There are two ways to enter the secret area.

1. Longer Path via Mine

You want to head over to the center of Area 13, where you want to stand in the center of the murky muddy swamp. Now you need to go in the direction which leads to Area 10. As soon as you leave the swamp, you will see derelict pillars. Jump up on the left-most corner side, where you will see an entrance to a mine.

You will find mining nodes along the way which you can mine. Continue down the path and there will be an area where you will find some sunlight. You can climb onto the ledge to discover a relic. It is the Citadel Message IX which will be added to your Notebook. Now continue down the path you were originally following.

Down the path, you will find Bonepiles which you can collect for tons of stuff. You will reach the other side of the cave, which you were peeping through earlier. You need to take a right and run all the way down the slope to the new secret area under Area 13.

After accessing the secret area in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak’s Citadel map, the cloud will be removed from the mini-map. In this secret area, you can mine the node, gather the bone pile and go fishing.

Once you are done you can go near the Great Wirebug, which will throw you all the way to Area 1. The wirebug is a shortcut that you can use to get outside of the secret area without going through the long route.

2. Shortcut via Hollow Tree Stump

You can access the secret Area 13 in Citadel using a shortcut which can be accessed near the center of Area 13’s swamp. Near the swamp, you need to find a huge broken tree stump. You need to wire above it, and you’ll find that the tree stump is empty. Drop down the tree stump, and you’ll be in the place where you found the relic, and the pathway down will lead you to the secret area.
