And as you all know mixing and matching armor sets is extremely in Monster Hunter Rise.
13 Hidden Armor Sets in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak
1. Base Commander Set
The Base Commander set is one of my favorites in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. It is also a top choice for layered fashion hunters and is by far one of the coolest sets in Monster Hunter Rise.
The Base Commander set has two arm pieces that come with high defenses being rarity 10 and some moves you definitely want to check out for a critical draw build. Overall the set isn’t too bad and is worth getting especially for the layered armor.
You can unlock it after beating Master Rank 50 furious Rajang then Admiral Gallius will give you a quest called Rage That Never Dies. In this quest, you will have to beat another Rajang with the help of Gallius and this will unlock the Base Commander Set for you.
Base Commander Set skills:
- Wide-Range Lv 3
- Focus Lv 3
- Chrage Master Lv 3
- Critical Draw Lv 3
- Quick Sheathe Lv 3
- Punishing Draw Lv 3
2. Guild Palace Set
Guild Palace Set can be unlocked by clearing each hunt in the arena. After having each coin from the arena quests you will unlock this set.
Guild Palace set is a top contender for fashion hunters and is an extremely cool-looking set with shiny armor. This armor makes a character look like an army commander
Guild Palace Set Skills:
- Agitator Lv 5
- Offensive Guard Lv 3
- Heroics Lv 5
- Coalescence Lv 5
- Wall Runner (Boost) Lv 1
3. Cohoot Mask
Cohoot Mask isn’t an armor set but a layered piece that can be unlocked in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak by completing the mission in the Requests tab called In Cahoots for Cohoot Pics. You can grab this blue quest from Pasopato the historian.
In the Cahoots for Cohoot Pics quest, you will have to find three Cohoots and take their pictures. For the first, you need to go to Dame Rondine, and over his shoulder or the wooden post, you will find your first Cohoot. The next Cohoot can be found at the highest points of Elgato where you will have to parkour, and there you will find a baby Cohoot in a nest. The last Cohoot can be your own but finding this is kind of harder as it will go from place to place. Try looking at the roofs or high-up places.
4. Yukumo Sky
Yukumo Sky armor set can be unlocked by completing the master rank two star mission called the Dangerous dare. This one is great for fashion hunting mix sets with a straw hat. However, its stats aren’t too bad as well.
Yukumo Sky Skill sets:
- Critical Eye Lv 7
- Evade Window Lv 5
- Recovery Up Lv 3
- Earplugs Lv 3
5. Monksnail Hat
This is definitely one of those sets that you have missed. Monksnail helmet can be unlocked by completing the Giant in the Frost Islands quest in which you need to take a picture of the Monksnail.
You need to go to the frost island map at night find a high spot near the east of the map, and snap a picture of the snail once you see it. It may take a couple of minutes for it to come out so you have to be patient.
6. Guardian Set
Guardian Set can be unlocked by completing the Master Rank 3-star quest called Studying these Starvation Effects. You will need to fight Rajang and Pukei Pukei to unlock the Guardian set.
The Guardian set as the name shows is a typical armor set that resembles what a guard would wear, shiny metal armor, chains, and more. As far as its skills go, this armor set isn’t the best ones in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, but if you want to play as a tank of your squad, then this set would work.
Guardian Set Skills:
- Guard Lv 5
- Guard Up Lv 1
- Earplugs Lv 3
- Speed Sharpening Lv 3
- Bright Resistance lv 3
- Diversion Lv 1
7. Azure Layered Armor
Azure Layered Armor set can be unlocked after completing a master rank 5-star quest called Stats on Statuses, Stat. You need to hunt a Gormagala, Espinas and Lunagaron. Completing this quest will give you the Azure Layered Armor set without even having to spend tickets on it.
