Ravenswatch Complete Beginner’s Guide

Ravenswatch Heroes

The heroes are now in the centre of Ravenswatch. Therefore, I believe that is where we should begin. Scarlet, the Pied Piper, Beowulf, the Snow Queen, Aladdin, and Melassene are the current roster’s six heroes.

Scarelt

Scarlet is a melee fighter who is often categorised as a rogue. Her strikes are fast and strong, but there’s a catch: as the sun goes down, she turns into a werewolf and gains even more strength at the expense of speed.

Pied Piper

The Pied Piper is an interesting twist on the classic ranged caster archetype. His main assault consists of releasing a steady stream of musical notes, but he also has the option of unleashing swarms of rats to cause additional damage.

Beowulf

Beowulf, a more conventional fighter, may boost the damage and keep foes on fire for extra damage over time by capitalising on his special ability.

Snow Queen

The Snow Queen is a powerful spellcaster with a ranged attack. The best use of her passive powers is to chill a large group of foes so that you may shatter and explode them all for tremendous damage.

Aladdin

Aladdin, an agile melee combatant, has access to enchanted weapons and the ability to use the Jinn’s power to grant him three wishes. These hopes merge into three potent abilities that may either do AoE damage to foes, provide you and your teammates significant improvements, or heal everyone significantly.

Melasseme

Melassene, the last ranged caster, launches a wisp that causes continuous damage to any foes who come into touch with it. Melassene can’t move while the wisp is active, but she has an amazing escape mechanism that gets her out of any jam.

Character Roles and Attacks

While every hero is distinct and brings their own arsenal to the field, all of their kits have some core elements that are essential to understanding the game’s advancement structure. Every hero has a distinguishing feature, an aspect of their personality that is important to who they are. It helps the Snow Queen, for instance, travel swiftly while leaving a path of ice in her wake. Beowulf’s characteristic lets him summon his worm friend, which gives his next ability a fire boost. Then there are standard attacks, the staple fare of every hero. For most heroes, this is their round-topping damage ability. With Melassene, you may release a pulsing stream of water. Scarlet may now charge headlong into combat, causing enormous damage to anybody in her path.

Upgrades

The upgrades are divided into three categories: Power, Utility, and Mastery.

Power Upgrades

Power upgrades increase the damage or effectiveness of an ability. For example, Scarlet’s power upgrade for her basic attack increases its damage and applies a bleed effect to enemies hit.

Utility Upgrades

Utility upgrades provide additional effects or benefits to an ability. For instance, the Pied Piper’s utility upgrade for his rat swarm ability increases the size of the swarm and allows him to move while casting it.

Master Upgrades

Mastery upgrades alter the way an ability works or provide new functionality. For example, Beowulf’s mastery upgrade for his fire infusion ability changes it from a single-target attack to a cone attack, hitting multiple enemies at once.

ravenswatch upgrades

It’s important to choose upgrades that complement your playstyle and the abilities you use most frequently. Additionally, each hero has a unique set of upgrades that cater to their specific strengths and weaknesses, so it’s worth experimenting with different heroes to find the ones that suit your playstyle best.

In addition to upgrading your abilities, you’ll also collect relics throughout the game that provide passive bonuses or special effects. Relics are divided into four tiers, with higher-tier relics providing more powerful effects. For example, the Tier 1 “Feathered Cape” relic increases movement speed and jump height, while the Tier 4 “Phoenix Feather” relic grants the player a chance to revive upon death.

Day & Night Cycle

It’s worth noting that heroes like Scarlet, the Pied Piper, and the Snow Queen all have move sets that shift subtly according on the time of day (which is, of course, always changing). When Scarlet shifts from rogue to werewolf form, she has a whole new set of moves at her disposal. However, a character like the Snow Queen has very little room for individualization in terms of her skills.

Character Ability Upgrades

Gameplay Upgrades

Throughout the game when you complete objectives or defeat enemies you gain experience. After a while your character will level up and you will be prompted to choose an upgrade from two choices. At the max level your character will get a single upgrade option will be the ultimate ability.

Permanent Character Upgrades

The more you play with a character the more xp it gains which in turn levels the character up unlocking more upgrades and objects. The unlocked upgrades and objects will now be available to use in the game.

Magical Objects

As I mentioned above that with each level players unlock new objects which are called Magical Objects. These objects give you passive bonuses. The Magical Objects are divided into rarities: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Cursed. The Magical Objects get more powerful as the rarity increases. However, the Cursed abilities are extremely powerful but they also have negative affects that players need to consider for.

How to Get Magical Objects

You buy Magical Objects from “The Sandman, Dream dealer” using Dream Shards or finding them across the map.

The Sandman, Dream dealer

You will find The Sandman at the starting point of each map. You can exchange Dream Shards to get an upgrade or Magical Objects or Consumables from the Dream Dealer.
